Following the first classroom pilot and the subsequent revision of the game materials, SOEPTU “Kuzman Josifoski-Pitu” in Prilep, North Macedonia, carried out a second testing cycle of “The Last Sustainable City” as part of the EuroQuest project.
Over approximately ten days, the revised sustainability ETER was implemented in 7 classes, involving around 110 students and 6 teachers. Compared with the first pilot, this wider implementation made it possible to test the activity across a larger number of classes and with several different teachers.
An important aim of this second cycle was to verify how the revised version worked in everyday classroom practice. The experience therefore provided further evidence on the clarity of the materials, classroom organisation, teacher facilitation, student collaboration and the overall feasibility of implementing the ETER with different groups.
Feedback was collected from both students and teachers and will now contribute to the next stage of refinement and evaluation. The second testing cycle represents an important step from the initial prototype testing towards a more consolidated and transferable version of “The Last Sustainable City” for use in sustainability education.
